Lace it up!

Hmmm...so i have been inactive for almost two weeks now! Had a whole bunch of things to do...work...travel...friends! Keeping everyone happy is definitely not an easy task! Anyways will be keeping up with the blog now.. :)

So the one trend that i am eyeing this season is Lace...its everywhere..in every style and every color..predominantly in black, off white and nude! Be it a special date or a first day at work...lace it up for that elegant charm! Shop at Vero Moda, Chemistry, Zara, Mango, W for the lace trend this season!!

Dress up

Once considered as a sober fabric, lace has now become the most versatile of all! Use it to show off your fun and flirty side. Dare to bare your toned legs in cute little lace dresses with short hemlines. Being considered a sober fabric,it adds up to the elegance of the so called mini dress making it suitable even for day wear.. Bright reds, vibrant greens and hot pinks are also great choices for this look.

 

 

 

Dressing down

Once upon a time lace was the pinnacle of regal elegance. It was favoured by royalty such as Queen Elizabeth, Queen Victoria and others. And now Kate Middleton favors the lace look too. It can however be worn to dress down yet remain fabulously chic and trendy. Go for pastel colors like peach, sea green, ice blue, nude. Pair a lace dress with a cute see-through shrug for a casual chic look. Pair up a nice lace kurta with tights for the traditional look. This season lace is used even as embellishment on tops and shirts. Throw on a nice pair of shirt having lace work or lace sleeves with a pair of vintage pleated trousers for a chic look. Or just add a hint of translucent lace sleeveless jacket to your very casual tank top and favorite pair of jeans to look effortless!
